act4ward jottings:-

Act4ward features a live updating process - with content being added or removed on a regular basis. It probably will never be finished - as new stuff appears on a regular basis. Time however is against us, and sometimes updates do not happen as we would like - so anything not covered feel free to ask questions.

ACTING FOR CONFIDENCE

I discovered long ago that drama was the ideal way to bring a reserved child out of their shell.

Silent and timid with their piers in the classroom or playground - they would light up and become confident playing a part as an actor.

So many children bullied at school become great actors through building a persona to deal with the difficult situation and disguise their fear.

Confidence can be acted - whilst inside you feel like jelly and sick.

Act4ward is designed to take you slowly past your fears and build on your strengths. Acting is often used to help with this - but my role goes much further than simply asking you to  play a character or three.

It is an all round time together of self discovery.

Those on the autistic spectrum may rest assured that we take things at their pace and with understanding of the special needs they may have.

For me this work is personal, remember I have been where you are now - and will support you all the way for as long as it takes, and often longer!
